Sony reveals the super secret PSP Go

Can you sense my charming sarcasm in that title? Huh can you!?
Today during Sony’s E3 press conference they confirmed what we already knew. The existence of the PSP Go.
All of the specs that had been leaked earlier in the week turned out to be accurate. It’s half the size of the original PSP and also weighing in at 40% lighter than it’s electronic relative. It will be packaged with 16 gigabytes of flash memory and feature a slide out controller. Making it easier and more comfortable to play than the 3000 series. It will also feature wi-fi connectivity and have access to the PlayStation Network.
The only real downer during the announcement was the price. A hefty $249 in the US. That means it will cost almost $70 more than it’s core counterpart.
Are you willing to fork over that kind of cash for your portable console?

Am I willing? For this? No. Definitely not. Clean it up a bit so it has a nicer interface, bring me some worthwhile games since there are barely any I’m interested in as it is, and bring back the UMD since not all of us have purely wireless access stable enough to download games and other cool things..
That price seemed a little steep to me too. And for those living in Europe or Japan it will cost even more. Almost $280 for Japanese consumers.
If it’s half the size of the original, do they ship the new PSP with a pair of glasses as well?
And a lighter wallet!
lol
